Although Grand Casino Biloxi continued major storm harm (all of its shares on the south side of Beach Blvd were ruined, see pictures here), it was able to reopen on August 27, 2006 using a land based casino inside its Bayview Hotel tower. Harrah’s intends to spend over $1B constructing a new resort, and it has bought the Casino Magic Biloxi property next door. However, these programs are on hold because of the market.

Today The Grand consists of a 500 room resort with a swimming pool and spa, a casino using 800 slots and 35 table games, along with four retaurants. Although it’s many more compact than it was, Harrah’s has packed a great deal of excitement to the casino whilst keeping a relaxing atmosphere at the resort and spa.

Grand Casino Biloxi is in the west end of Biloxi’s Casino Strip; Isle of Capri Casino is just two blocks off (Casino Magic, that was next door was ruined by the storm and no more exists). The hotel is less than 1 mile east of I-110 and Beau Rivage on Beach Blvd (US-90).

The Grand is owned by Harrah’s. This is now Harrah’s sole Mississippi Gulf Coast casino. The business started developing the distance throughout the road to the Margaritaville Casino, but the construction is currently on hold because of the market. Harrah’s functions three Tunica casinos in addition to hotels in Nevada and New Jersey.

The Grand Hotel has 500 rooms, each with plasma tv, pillow top mattress, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing gear, and high-speed online access. There resort has a gorgeous swimming pool with cabanas. There’s also a convenient garage parking.

Our area, on the eleventh floor at the hotel tower had a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico. It was spacious, nicely appointed, and perfect in every way.

Cuu Long Souper Pho is a Asian bistro. Enjoy appetizers, noodle soups, fried rice, also fish, lobster, duck, and pork entrees.

Grand Buffet contains breakfast, lunch, and dinner seatings. Features over 100 hot and cold choices, live activity made-to-order cooking channels, various carving channels, and fish nightly.

The Grand Cafe – 24-hour coffee shop located in the hotel lobby serving pastries, sandwiches and wraps, salads, hot breakfast sandwiches, cakes, and drinks.

Hotel Lobby Bar – hamburgers, sandwiches, po-boys, appetizers, and sandwiches.

Lb’s Steakhouse serves beans, prime rib, fish, fresh fishalong with other dishes, and nice wine (many entrees drop from the $20 to $35 amount range). Open nightly for dinner.
